The closely related Notaris, Tournotaris and Thryogenes are poorly known, but recorded from Poaceae and Cyperaceae. Grypus equiseti feeds on horsetails (Equisetum). The North American alien, Stenopelmus rufinasus (not yet added to the database) occurs on Water Fern (Azolla filiculoides).
