The sole member of the family in Britain is Schreckensteinia festaliella. It feeds as a larva, beneath a slight web, on the upper sides of leaves of raspberry (Rubus idaeus) or bramble (R. fruticosus). The species is multivoltine, occurring most commonly in open woodland.
