Description
Background to Family	The host plant associations of the family are poorly known. There are 17 British species, others may await discovery. Adults occur at pollen-rich flowers (especially Apiaceae and Rosaceae), whereas larvae are believed to live in the stems of herbaceous plants, or the wood of deciduous shrubs and trees.
