A sub-family of the Pyralidae
Background to Family
 
A handful of species specialising on Brassicaceae, where the larvae feed on seed-heads or on foliage, and may be gregarious. Pupae are formed in a cocoon underground. The garden pebble, Evergestis forficalis, may be a pest in gardens and allotments.
