Home of the Database of Insects and their Food Plants © Roger Key Family   Noctuidae Sub Family   Cuculliinae Description   a sub-family of the Noctuidae Background to Family   Foliage, flower or seed feeders on a wide range of herbaceous plants, grasses, and broadleaved shrubs and trees. Host choice is frequently dictated by habitat type. Species in Cucullia and Shargacucullia tend to be mono- or oligophagous on hosts in the Asteraceae and Scrophulaceae, respectively.
