A great number of non-native pests occurring on ornamental, woody or perennial plants in glasshouses and outside. Most are polyphagous, and a majority have tens to hundreds of recorded hosts. Females have neither eyes or wings, and legs and antennae are reduced or absent. The first instar 'crawler' is the dispersive stage, as is the short-lived, winged male. Females usually reproduce parthenogenetically.
