Background to Family	Like the Aneuridae, flatbugs are small and flattened, feeding on fungi in association with broadleaved trees, cut timber, and wood-chips. One exception, the pine flatbug (Aradus cinnamomeus), feeds beneath bark on the sap of conifers.
