Julian Bull entered data at the Biological Records Centre for Coleoptera and Lepidoptera.

Keith Alexander, as organiser of the Cantharoidea and Buprestoidea Recording Scheme, gave advise on the treatment of, and updating, these taxa.

Keith Harris corrected and updated nomenclature for the Cecidomyiidae (Diptera), and assessed the status of records for the group.

Laurence Clemons corrected and updated nomenclature and records for the Tephritidae (Diptera), and shared his database of literature references for the group.

Lena Ward gave support through her experience of, and unpublished material from, the PIDB.

Mark Hill provided advice on the development of DBIF.

Mark Telfer updated interactions for some of the Coleoptera while working for the Biological Records Centre. He commented on the data for the Carabidae and provided notes during the update of the database.

Martin Rejzek discussed the interactions for the Cerambycidae (Coleoptera), and shared his data published in the Coleopterists’ Handbook.

Michael Ackland corrected and updated nomenclature and records for the Anthomyiidae (Diptera).

Michael Morris shared his data from the foodplant tables for the Curculionidae, in the forthcoming Royal Entomological Society Handbook, True Weevils 2.

Richard Smith collaborated with David Roy to manage the updating of DBIF, and was the main author for text on the website.

Roger Key shared his photographs of a wide range of herbivores (excluding Lepidoptera) for use on the website.

Brooks entered data at the Biological Records Centre for Coleoptera, Diptera and Lepidoptera (butterflies).

The Centre for Ecology and Hydrology provided funding to enable DBIF to be updated and published.
